Learn more about Ellen
Ellen grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. At age 3, she started dance at Professional Dance Center under the direction of Gerri Stretz and Yvonne Meyer Hare. Ellen joined the competitive dance team, Professional Dance Center Ensemble, at age 6. She trained until her graduation at 18 in various styles of ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop and acro.
While Ellen’s primary training is in dance, she found her love for musical theater early on. Growing up she did summer musicals with Whitecliff Summer Playhouse. Doing school plays and musicals throughout her youth deepened her love and passion for theater. Ellen had the wonderful experience at 18 to join the youth ensemble of Beauty and the Beast at The Muny. This experience gave her a peak into what the professional theater industry is like. Doing this show confirmed her goals to pursue musical theater.
Currently, Ellen attends Oklahoma City University. She is working towards her Bachelor of Performing Arts as a Dance Performance major at the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment. At school she has the privilege of being apart of the Star Dance Company. Here she has lots of performance opportunities including their main stage shows, Holiday Spectacular and Move! Dance for the World of Entertainment.
